All round performance from Shane Watson and Mitchell Starc 3 for 19 guided Sydney Sixers to beat Highveld Lions by 5 wickets in the Champions Legue Twenty20 Group B Match at Cape Town on Thursday. This is the third consecutive win for Sydney Sixers.
Sydney Sixers won the toss and chose to field first. Highveld Lions lose the skipper Alviro Peterson wicket very early. Gulam Bodi again shine for Lions, He scored 61 off 44 balls and consists of fours fours and three sixes. Jean Symes made 23 off 16 balls. Highveld Lions ended the Innings with 137 for 9 in 20 overs. Mitchell Starc take 3 for 19, Josh Hazlewood and Shane watson take two wickets each.
In the Chasing, Sydney Sixers made a solid start. Shane Watso top scorer for Sydney Sixers with 47 off 38 balls and Brad Haddin scored 32 off 21 balls. Sixers chased down their target in 19 overs. Mitchell Starc named for the Man of the Match award for his good bowling spell.
